Wuyeh Sanneh was born in Sintet and raised in Jattaba where one of his parents came from. He attended Sukuta Secondary Technical School from 1989 to 1993. He did his O’level at Nusrat High School from 1993 to 1996, and Gambia High School for an Advanced level (A’level) from 1996 to1998. Among other responsibilities, he had served as Secretary to Science club at Nusrat and President of President’s Award Scheme at Gambia High. He taught at St. Theresa’s Middle and Vocational school in Kanifing 1998/99. He joined FJP international consulting firm in Banjul as external Auditor and consulting agent. He later worked for Gambia Civil Aviation Authority as Terminal Floor Supervisor until his departure to U.S in May 2000.

 

He was a graduate of both St. Paul and Rasmussen Colleges with emphasis in Advanced Medical Coding & Reimbursement, and Health Information Technology. He works as a Health Information Technician at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. He is also a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) and a member of American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). He assigns codes and also audits physicians’ documentation of medical records for compliance with federal and state regulations.

 

He is the President of the Gambian Association in Minnesota having previously served a two year term as an Auditor.
